What to Expect at a Pet Wellness Exam

Our veterinary team will begin your pets wellness exam with weighing your pet, taking his temperature, checking his pulse, and listening to his heart and lungs. You will be asked questions about your pets diet, behavior, level of exercise, and what concerns you may have.

Your veterinarian will then move onto the rest of the exam. This will include a dental exam to check for broken teeth, gum disease, and other oral issues. The eyes and ears will be checked for signs of infection, mites, and other problems.

What should I bring?

A stool sample may be requested, so it will need to be collected the night before or the morning of the exam. It is a good idea to bring in some information regarding the type of food your pet is eating, any medications he is on, and any documents concerning his medical history.  You may want to have a list of questions or concerns to bring to your veterinarian's attention.

If it's time for your pet's wellness exam, give us a call anytime. You can always request an appointment online. Our staff will be delighted to help you. We proudly serve Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas (including, but not limited to) Pineville, Lake Wylie, Gastonia, Fort Mill, and Rock Hill. Call us at (704) 752-7227 .
