As one of Charlotte's most talented veterinary orthopedic and soft tissue surgeons, Dr. Thomas Watson leads a seasoned team of trained and licensed animal technicians with more than 100 years of experience. Dr. Watson is the founder and owner of the Carolinas Veterinary Medical Hospital serving patients from puppies and kittens to lions and tigers since 1998.
After graduating from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University in 1993, Dr. Watson relocated to Charlotte and worked as an associate veterinarian and a traveling relief doctor at vet hospitals throughout North Carolina. While in veterinary school, Dr. Watson was called to serve his country as an Army combat officer during Desert Storm. Committed to his team and serving the Charlotte community, Dr. Watson regulary donates his time and skills to non-profit organizations for homeless pets and was the 'Resident Veterinarian' on Charlotte's Fox News Rising morning TV show for 6 years. An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Watson enjoys camping, hiking, mountain biking, golf, scuba diving, and photography. He is the proud parent of his son Lucas and numerous rescued dogs and cats: 2 dogs and 2 cats at this time.
Dr. Joy Fine is originally from Perrysburg, Ohio. She has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Richmond where she was a member of the university dance company, a member of the Alpha Phi sisterhood, and founded the pre-veterinary club.
She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University where she was the vice-president of the student chapter of the American Association of Zoo Veterinarians.
She completed in certification in Veterinary Acupuncture from the Chi Institute on the first day of Chinese New Year 2012.
When not working, Dr. Fine enjoys practicing tai chi, dancing, cooking, and attending performing arts events.
Hi, my name is Peggy and I am the Practice Manager and a Veterinary Technician here at CVMH. I have been a Licensed Veterinary technician for many years in both Michigan and Florida. I have transplanted to Charlotte area now and am lucky enough to be part of the Carolina's Veterinary Medical Hospital family!
I have 3 grown children that have all transplanted here as well. I have been a part of the CVMH family since January 2019 and I love all the things Charlotte has to offer.

Hey, my name is Natalie and I am a Registered Veterinary Technician and offsite Practice Manager here at CVMH. I am originally from Michigan where I attended the Veterinary Technician program at Baker College of Port Huron. I graduated with an Associates degree in Applied Science in the summer of 2007. Shortly after, I was welcomed to CVMH and I have loved every minute of it. I enjoy anything outdoors, especially the beach and a nice bonfire! I love kayaking, hiking and gatherings with family and friends. Everyday with your furry family members is a happy reminder why I have wanted to work with animals my whole life. Hi everyone, my name is Teresa and I am the Front Desk Supervisor here at CVMH. My fiance and I moved from the mountains of NC to be closer to our family. I left the hospitality industry in 2012 to pursue a career in animal care. Realizing very quickly that this is where I belong, I have been loving every minute of growing in this field and caring for amazing patients. We have two amazing children, four darling grandchildren and seven feline fur babies. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family!

I have enjoyed working at Animal Hospitals for most of my life and can’t imagine doing anything else.
