Kimmie Swaim

Hello, my name is Kimmie. I moved to Charlotte in 2008 to pursue my degree in Earth Sciences at UNC Charlotte. Since then, I have had the privilege of making my passion for animals my career. I have been in this field since 2008 and have experience in animal husbandry varying from animal hospitals and boarding facilities, to museums such as Discovery Place. Working in various locations and settings has given me the ability to work with a wide variety of creatures: dogs, cats, reptiles, arachnids, stingrays, and jellyfish to name a few. At home, I have two dogs (Zuko & Roxie), a cat (Sebastian), a sugar glider (Sam) and a saltwater fish tank that keep my animal obsession satisfied. I'm thankful to be a part of the CVMH family where I love coming to work everyday. I can't wait to meet you and care for your "fur kids"!
